I interview Mr Sam Sambo a Former mine worker. He was working in Mooi plants mine. He worked many years in that mine

He is suffering from breathing problem, as he was working, he gets affected by pains in the lungs, until the doctor diagnosis him with lungs disease.

It happened when he was working in the mine. He said the mine was not a good place for him and while you’re busy working you can see water comes from the ground, you are not allowed to leave but you have to carry on working. And you get affected by the water, chemicals and coalicolis.

It happened when he was working in the mine. They were using chemicals. That really affected his health that cause him not to live a good life anymore.

Mr Sambo is affected. He said every time he had to live with medication whether He like it or not because his life is in big problem. The owners of the mine do not care about their life they only care about the production only.

It happened when he wants the medication and he doesn’t have money to buy it. It affected his wife and his children because now the money is finished no food in the house.

He exits the job and he go home now the problem is he can’t work anymore because he is sick he failed the medical certificate once he gets employed.

The medical doctor told him that the solution is for him to relocate because Emalahleni is polluted and not suitable for his health.
