Impacts of Coal in people’s health.

A mother of two children has experience impacts of Coal through her children, her children are the victims of living at HPA with Air Pollution when she took them to the Doctor she finds out that they have asthmatic problem, and they have to use breatherliser machine when they can’t breath properly.

It happened at Mpumalanga at Vosman location kwaGuqa area where about nine mines operate without having consulted the community before operation.

The two children are between 4years and 8years of age and they are already suffering from asthmatic illness, and especially in winter they don’t attend School because of the illness.
Their mother is mostly affected by the whole situation because she is unemployed and she is a single parent to this kids it’s a burden to her to take them to the hospital as she is depending on the grant from the government.

During the night they will start not to breath properly, and she will notice that they are struggling to breathe, she will connect the nebulizer machine to assist them , but it becomes a problem during the load shedding as the machine uses electricity.

For now they are using nebulizer machine from the Hospital, but solution to this problem it’s for her to relocate because the damage it’s already done, and more coal mines are coming in she is still going to live in this conditions.

It’s for her to take her kids and relocate because this place is Polluted and is not getting better it’s getting worse each and every day.
