Mine and Government neglect has left the health of neighbourhoods hosting mines in a terrible situation

The way the owners of the cattle feed their livestock water from the Voelpan, which is a few
meters from the kraal hurts them.Masakeng (Kraals) is located in Nyakallong Allenridge; it is a
short distance from the Nyakallong settlement, perhaps a few meters outside, where other
livestock owners keep their animals.
Because other animals in the Voelpan dam eat hazardous substances, the majority of livestock
owners are impacted. Hazardous substances are being released from Harmony Target One
through the Voelpan dam. These substances pose a serious risk to all living organisms.
Due to the Voelpan dam’s failure to operate the water pump, the sewage plant in Nyakallong is
currently inundated, severely impairing not only the owners of animals but also the population of
the town.
There is no longer any water inside the kraal since the sewage plant is overflowing with water,
and their animals have nowhere to drink water, according to an unidentified livestock owner
source. Although they have been working to find a solution, the water company has informed
them that they are powerless as long as water is flowing in the area. The owners of the cattle
are suggesting that the government or the mine try to empty that water or construct a wall to
keep animals from drinking contaminated water.
