Mines and PowerStation affecting our lives

We are staying in a place where we are surrounded by mines and power stations. Now we are affected by sickness and diseases. It is very sad to live in a place like this one.

When the Mines are operating is affecting people’s life. when they’re blasting they cause lot of dust. They pollute the air, people next to that place inhaling the dust, and they are using chemicals that are not suitable for people’s life. It causes a lot of damage to people’s

health and wellbeing.

It happened in a Emalahleni as we know that is surrounded by many Mines and power stations polluting our environment. It is very sad to live in a place like this one. This people are not only destroying our health but also our stream is now dry also the soil is polluted.

My neighbor is having a child who is sick now. The doctor diagnosed him with lungs problem. He is using medication, the mother of the child is suffering a lot sometimes she doesn’t have money to take the child to the hospital or to the doctors .because the woman is not working.

This is affected the life of the children and parents as well. The children during winter is not in a good condition even in school his attendance is affected. and his social life as he use to play soccer but not at more.

It happened when the power stations burned the coal. It’s releases the emissions with poison, and it affects the life of the poor people.

It needs DMR to see the damage they made to allow the mines to operate next to the community and the Department of health to help the community.
