Mpho Trust residents not ready to move

Despite the devastating conditions members of the community of Mpho Trust are living in, it
has been proven without a doubt that they are not ready to move. In previous alerts written
the justice and peace and other role players came to the community to intervene and assist
with mapping a way forward for the community to decide its future. Members of the
community seemed to be agreeing with one voice that they are looking for a better
conducive alternative land to can relocate to. Furter developments of events have proved
otherwise. The community of Mpho trust which is currently under spotlight is refusing to
leave their plot to relocate to the place which Mr. Nico Economakis wanted to buy for them.

It was last month when the shooting competition was held at frontier process metal to which it
was the national shooting competition. The community wanted to disrupt the competition but
it failed because the security was tight. Even now Nico is willing and prepared to buy a plot
for them which is situated at the corner of Buffelsdoorn and guest mine store. The land size
left for residents of Mpho trust is only six hectares. That’s the hectares left for them, and the
current plot that Nico want to buy for them is 33 hectares which will create room for further
future developments the intervention was made by the department of rural development and
also failed. Because the department realized that the community doesn’t know exactly want
they want. The December shooting competition is just around the corner and the question is,
are members of the community going to make threats of disrupting it. The community is still
arrogant regarding the relocation. the first statement that they make against Mr. Nico was a
false statement because Mr. Nico said he didn’t steal hectares of land from them he provided
documents that he bought those hectares of land from the old lady that he donated land to
them in the first place. everyone who tried to intervene on the matter is now confused as to
what is the community looking and they have started to withdraw from helping this
community.
