I am the voice of the voiceless

My first direct encounter with injustice happened in 2017, when I witnessed the abuse of a young girl by her biological father. I took immediate action reporting the case to the local police and ensuring the child received access to counseling. Over time, the children involved have made remarkable progress in school, and that experience has strengthened my resolve to help others facing similar trauma.
I believe in creating safe spaces where children affected by abuse can speak freely whether to me or to the SEJN team without fear or judgment. When they open up about their pain, I am ready to ensure those stories are heard by the police and relevant authorities, so that justice can be served and their futures protected.
That young girl’s experience left deep scars. She dropped out of school, disconnected from her peers, and saw older men as equals a reflection of the mistreatment she endured at home. Her behavior changed; she disrespected her teachers, became isolated, and seemed to lose touch with reality. But after spending time speaking with her, she made the courageous decision to return to school. Today, she’s focused, thriving, and even inspires others with her story. Her healing reminds me why activism must be grounded in action. If the authorities delay or fail to act, I will continue pushing for lawful intervention until justice is served.
My strength lies in my willingness to take action to launch campaigns that raise awareness, create platforms for survivors to speak and mobilize communities to stand together against abuse. I want to influence decision-makers to address the broader social and environmental injustices we face, and I offer myself as a volunteer to help survivors heal, forgive, and rebuild.
This is not just a mission; it’s a calling. Through community organizing, I aim to reveal hidden stories, help those in pain find peace and ensure that no child walks alone in silence. If I cannot help them, then who will? I am the voice of the voiceless.
