Community Struggle to access basic Services.

Health services are the most important part of every human’s rights. For community of Monametse Village which is situated in Limpopo Province Fetakgomo-Tubatse Municipality this is a nightmare and a struggle. The roads leading to the only clinic (Motsepe Clinic) which is almost 8 km from the village are in depilatory stage and as a results taxis faring those who are in dire needs of this health services have started using other routes which often leaves the community stranded. Although the mine(Bokoni Platinum Mine) has committed to re-gravel the community access road annually, up to date nothing has been done. The community is also loosing patient with the mine not adhering to its social licence to operate obligations. The Community Engagement Forum has tried in vain to request to hold meetings with the mine but their request were not met.
