Municipal offices set on fire in phola

On the 13th of August 2018 in phola there was a shutdown strike against the municipality for service delivery especially for water and electricity. The Community Matched in numbers to close the phola entrance and later on went to deliver a memorandum in witbank, Emalahleni, the office of municipality but sadly the memorandum was not delivered.The leaders who went there said no one from the officials wanted to receive and sign the memorandum, they had to come back with it again to deliver it to the Mayor.
In the Early morning hours on the 14th August, the municipal offices in phola were set on fire.
