The Sasolburg Air-Quality Monitoring Committee took it to the streets of ‘Top 5’ Chris Hani township in Zamdela, Sasolburg, early morning of Saturday 19th Jan ’19 and upon their own responsibility the group invited a Local Ward Councillor and community members on a clean up campaign arround their neighborhood. This is an alarming threat to communities in the Vaal as the landfills are already filled with waste, Local governments are blaming it all on the lack of rates and taxes leading to the lack of better maintained resources.  Local governments have proven to how incapable they handle waste management in many areas accross the country.
