Water Crisis in Motlhabe – I will only bath when the lockdown ends.

Motlhabe – Moses Kotane

Motlhabe is one of the old villages located under the Moses Kotane Local municipality that has an still is struggling with access to water, ever since lockdown the struggle to access to water has worsened because we used to buy from other people’s homes (those who have boreholes in their yards).
Now other people are no longer selling water as they afraid of getting arrested as there will be many people queuing at their homes. This has resulted badly because those who still selling water have raised their prices from three Rands up to ten Rands per twenty litres.
As for old age people it is so sad the other day at the spaza shop I heard one old lady saying she will only bath when the lockdown ends.
