When there is no water it becomes a huge challenge in everyone’s life. Water is essential to everybody.

 

At Empumelelweni Area we always having water challenge without no knowledge of what is the cause exactly.

 

It’s been weeks living life without clean and easy accessible drinking water in my community, the Empumelelweni is a big community area so due to that it differs with sections in terms of water absence duration because in some other sections is has been months’ people living without water.

 

Due to lack of water the community of Empumelelweni is affected in so much ways because having no water in the household is a struggle whereby one need to make plans to get water in order to survive and to do daily household chores like cooking, washing and Bathing. The community now is relying in using water from ISIYALO the water that we believe is coming from the ground (spring water) that is in the community, to do all the necessities.

 

Apparently the water pipes broke down due to sewer pipes installing that is happening in some sections of Empumelelweni and in others section there is no water because there is also a problem with electricity as they are saying they use electricity to pump water

.

There only solution for the community is to maintain the spring to survive because that’s the only alternative they have right now because the Municipality is doing nothing much.

 

Apparently there is no much action that can be taken because if they say the electricity problem is the cause we need to wait for Electricity and for broken pipes because of the installation of sewer pipes we will fix it ourselves.
