In 2012 we saw an unrest from Anglo American happening due to a better wage demand, and it was when AMCU was introduced to Anglo employees.

Since 2012 this shaft had been closed without community being engaged in this community knew nothing about closure plan and rehabilitation plans. According to DMR an environmental department this company should have engaged with near communities an explain to them about the closure an what should be done with closed shafts frank 1-2 which are now owned by Sibanye Stillwater.

This community of Madibana had been robbed and looted by corporates for the past 75-80 year’s. Community of Madibana
