Covid-19 in ikemeleng clinic.

Ikemeleng community is an informal settlement  located outside Rustenburg cbd +-7km.

On the 13th February my uncle who is counsellor at  Ikemeleng clinic was infected with covid 19 as he came from Tlhabane and got tested before starting his work here and he was attended by colleagues to stop the spread of virus. The nurses gave their attention and support to their colleague  and sent him home to quarantine for 14 days an he was well recovered.

The nurses and care takers are playing a very important role to assist patients on daily basis. It is their profession to be medically fit and open hearted to patients asking for assistance for them. During an interview with one of the patient outside the clinic said “we are being attended since the covid 19 than before in ikemeleng clinic”,  and continued to add “I see a growth and support from nurses and care takers.

We are happy with the clinic services because we are assisted on time without long queues”. Nurses are humanly because they know people come to government clinics because they dont have the right to private clinics.
