#2021LocalElections

As we are headed to the Local Municipality Elections on the 1st of November 2021, Thekwane Youth Members has written all its needs interms of infrastructure developments. This is more of an SLP Program which is to be handed to the Mining Houses and the Rustenburg Municipality.

Benchmark has also hosted a workshop with Mr. Bobby Marie in Rustenburg, we need all the help we can get to present documents which shows that the are indeed Community Monitors being trained by Benchmark. The Recreational Centre is one of the Project which the Youth is gunning for because theres nothing show in our Village which hosts more that 5 Mining Companies, Anglo, Glencore and Sibanye included.

These are their needs in terms of Developments:

Developments needed in Thekwane!

  • Infrastructure
    • Community Hall
    • Recreational Centre which includes a Park, Gym, Swimming pools, Amphitheatre, Stalls, Lekgotla Offices, tennis court, basketball/netball courts, beach football/Volleyball
    • Soccer Stadium
    • Shopping Complex
    • A Housing/Flats Estate
  • Roads (Pavements)
  • A Brick Plant with a 50/50 ownership (Community and Private) with a Community Trust
  • Agricultural Park

And others!

The only way to archive such Developments is through a Strong Political Influence, a Strong Traditional Authorization Influence and a Strong Business Organizational influence. Our Mindset as a Community from the Elderly, Young Adults and the Youth must be Positive in all spheres.

I’ve also spoke to Mr. Bobby Marie in terms of them assist in a 3D design of our Recreational Centre, Still waiting for his response.
