POOR PUBLIC CONSULTATION IN MINING

On 15 October 2021, a meeting with the mine management, 3 DMR representatives, and 6 affected community representatives attended a meeting in connection with the relocation of the community living closer to the mine pit. The mine has been stopped from relocating the people due to wrong guidelines that are used by the consultant, and they are given a mandate to report on the first week of November 2021 on how far with the open and fair community consultation. DMR promised to come back to find out about the SLP(date not given).
