Lack of water has been a predicament in Mogabane village since 6 March 2024, there has been no running water we were informed that the municipality failed to pay electricity for the pump station. The community was forced to use water from the Tswape River which far and located in the mountains, the problem is the river gets overcrowded people have to go in the early hours of the morning. The households with boreholes sell water for R5 per 25-litre container, others cannot afford it and even do their laundry at the river site. The community wrote to the municipality about the matter and the response was they would attend to the matter promptly. In a community meeting held on 8 April 2024, an agreement was that each household would donate money and repair an old mine borehole buy water tanks, and alleviate the water problem.
