EFFECTS OF WORKING AT COAL MINE

Effects of working at Coal Mine.

#BEINGCOALMINER

Mr Motha is a family man who worked at Kwezela Coal mine, who used to work as a Plant Operator. He worked there for more than 5 years now but the working conditions are still the same, meaning it’s profit over people’s lives it’s not a better job and not a permanent job.

At Mpumalanga under Emalahleni Local Municipality in kwaGuqa Area is where the mines are pulling. Some of those mines are illegal mines.

Mr Motha can’t even afford to provide for his family anything they desire from the salary that he is earning. They are earning peanuts compared to the job they are doing at Coal Mine

Mr Motha is the most affected as he is the one that is working under those conditions, that are not safe, they are not being protected as worker’s.

Mr Motha is depending on his job and of which it doesn’t pay him enough to live a better life , Mr Motha said working at the Coal mine it’s not easy and its not safe for any human being and I don’t wish for any of my kids to work at the coal mine.

I’m depending on this job it’s only income I have and to provide for my family.

Coal mines should change their policies create a safe working conditions for worker’s, better living wage…Sustainable jobs…create meaningful benefits for worker’s.
