Water Crises at Emalahleni

Crises of water at Emalahleni started long time ago where our tap water is dirty, we can’t drink tap water and it’s got a bad smell.

 

It happened at Mpumalanga under Emalahleni Local Municipality at Vosman location kwaGuqa area.

This water issue it’s started five  years back if I’m not mistaken but it’s a long term issue where by we as Communities we have excepted that this issue it’s here to stay because our municipality it’s not like they are not aware of this problem.

 

All communities around Emalahleni are affected by this water crisis we all know that you can’t drink tap water, to buy water everyday it’s to expensive and health wise people are getting ill once they drink tap water, people they have learn to buy water what about those who can’t afford to buy water,

 

They are forced to drink this dirty water or use this water because they can’t afford to buy water.

The problem is that water works their water tank storage it’s dirty, and when they purify water they don’t put enough chlorine they are saving, that’s what is happening, or they don’t even put chlorine.

 

Our municipality should start by acknowledging that there is a crises and it needs a quick attention, within their water works purifying plants.

 

Municipality should make sure that worker’s do the right thing put chlorine in a correct way, not only once but everyday stop saving and as worker’s should start by them to drink this water, and they should service water storage tankers.
