Mhluzi extension 6 it’s a suburb situated on Middelburg-Mhluzi west in Steve Tshwete
Municipality in Nkangala District which is in Mpumalanga Province.
Mhluzi extension 6 was established around 1990 as alternative to address shortage of living
places for community.
Climate Change has negative impacts towards health, safety and livelihood in the society.
On 27 November 2024 there was a strong winds with heavy rain that happened around
Middelburg Area.

A Mhluzi extension 6 was affected by strong wind and heavy rain.
Overhead electrical poles were broke down which resulted that electrical cable laying down,
which affected the high risk of people being shocked by electricity.
Soil erosion that was caused as results of heavy rain-water, which undercover infrastructure.
This are the results of  clmate change as we experience it, which makes people to live
in a risky unsafe time.

Municipality office were phoned to come to attend to the emergency situation. They
responded with urgency so as to save the life of people for not be in danger.
As community we agree to have continues awareness about climate change with
another community members in other areas.
