Road Development Update
Happiness Koma
The construction of the road to Magobading Village began in April 2025 and is still not finished. When it rains, this road develops potholes, making it difficult for cars to travel. Access to reliable roads is crucial for the residents and children in our village who rely on transportation to get to school, especially those who live far away. Many children depend on vehicles to reach school on time, and the current state of the roads is preventing that.
As concerned parents and residents, we have resorted to blocking sections of the roads with stones to make it easier for vehicles to navigate. Progress has stalled since the construction was halted during the holidays. We had hoped that the workers would return after the December break, but it seems that is not the case.
The sections of the road that have already been dug out remain closed due to heavy rains, further exacerbating the situation. When it rains, our roads become impassable, leaving vehicles stranded and forcing traffic to take longer routes that are less damaged.
We have heard rumors that the person responsible for this project misappropriated funds, which has contributed to the lack of progress. It seems we are left waiting for someone else to take over the project before any real work can resume.
Currently, we feel we have no choice but to take matters into our own hands, as the ongoing situation is distressing for both our children and ourselves.
