On the 5/01/2018 Limpopo Sekhukhune region, SEJN and the farmers had two meeting the other one at the mine office of Twickenham Moopetsi offices and the other one was at the field where farmers where identifying the sites to build the dams for their livestock.
After both meetings the initiative of expanding SEJN to other affected communities and Serafa, Ga-Mashabela and Makgopa village were mobilised as they are also affect by Anglo operation site of Twickenham
On 03/01/2018 and 08/01/2018 the above-mentioned communities received their grass from the mine. Unfortunately, the meeting at the mine offices did not go well as the report the mine provided for compensation of farmers was from 2015 not 2014 as agreed, the meeting was postponed to 30/01/2018.
The report will be covered the year 2014 and farmers will be able to come and I identify the animals that have been reported dead to the mine Security. By Mathapelo Thobejane
