TRANSFORMER THEFT LEFT COMMUNITY STRANDED

The community of Monametse Village in Fetakgomo/Tubatse Municipality of Limpopo Province are facing water shortages due to the stolen transformer in the area. Apparently a group of unemployed and or retrenched members of the community have embarked on a stealing spree, which includes still cables connecting households, cutting electric poles even and recently stealing the transformer. According to the statement given to the communities by the investigating officer they have suspects however they still need to conduct a thorough investigation to make their case solid. With all this going on the community still goes for days without water with some resorting to drinking contaminated water from the river which they share with animals.
