RAINY SESSON AND MORE DANGERIOUS THE DEEP ORE

Its been a rainy session and we are grateful for the rain that provides water for us in the village but its also danger to this community of Ga-Makgopa village in the Sekhukhune Fetakgomo -Tubatse municipality where the ore that where left not closed are putting our kids at risk where the ore are filled with water and the children of this village go there to swim in the deep and dangerous ore. now that the ore are filled with water u find kids gathering and playing inside the water in the name of swimming in the dirty and contaminated water. The illegal chrome mining has been in the village for three years now and we have been trying to get investors to close the deep ore but no luck now that the operation has stopped only other section of the village are continuing with the digging, but still when asking for machine to close the ore inside the village money is needed and money is something we don’t have.

This is a difficult situation where intervention is needed from government and municipal or even the state…
