RDP houses for the first time since 1994

Finally, after 27 years some handful residents may be owners of brick house. Many would be beneficiaries are elated and are anticipating houses after decades living in shack cold houses. The houses are good looking 40sq open plan, not too bad for the RDP that would be plastered and finished with a single coat paint.

However small contractors are not happy as subcontract rates seem very low for labour rates which is something that the government has to look into in order to develop SMMEs in the sector.
