#RIGHTTOLIFE

The life of a young baby boy is at stake as he is in and out of hospital through out the year .The boy by the name Siphosethu was born in Vosman five years ago but as a result of the fact that our place is surrounded by Opencast Mines , it led to the respiratory illnesses attacks to most community members especially the young and the old.

During the extraction of coal dust from the mine blasting that is mixed with chemicals goes straight to the community members thus causing sicknesses.

The young and the old are the most affected but the sad part is that when consulting to the Doctor’s they are told to relocate. It’s a real burden to tell the unemployed about relocating. The pregnant women are also experiencing pre-matured births and miscarriages as a result of blasting and air pollution.

The order from the Doctor’s is always the same to asthmatic patients and pregnant women which is to relocate.

All the polluters in the Highveld region to be forced by the community members with the help of the government to take care of the affected people.

Mass action to be organized so that this can  become a reality with the togetherness of the community because together we stand and divided we fall.
