COAL IS AFFECTING MY HEALTH

Coal is affecting my health.

I’m currently working at coal mine that i won’t reveal the name of the mine, recently i have discovered cause of my feet to be painful it is caused by coal and chemicals under ground.

 

At Mpumalanga under Emalangeni Local Municipality in kwaGuqa Area.

 

I have been working at the coal mine almost 8years now under a Contractor i just find out about this, what hurts me the most contractor I’m working under they don’t care at all they want me at work.

 

Now i can’t wear safety shoes for a long time, my feet are painful and it means i won’t be able to work for my family in this state, i don’t get full salary cause some days I’m upset and i consulted the doctor he just gave me pills.

 

our contractor they don’t issue us with ppe in time and you will find that we are using old PPE, that’s where i have to work with teared safety shoes, chemicals it’s easy to go through in your body.

 

Safety should be followed and we should be working in a safe environment, with a full PPE at all times.

 

Working environment should be safe place to be, monitoring should be done by safety officers on daily bases   making sure Everyone is safe and safety protocols is followed and everyone is safe.
