TRUCKS DESTROYS OUR ROADS

Trucks destroy our roads

#HEAVYTRUCKS

The heavy duty vehicle’s (coal transporting trucks) are moving up and down in our community roads destroying it and causing potholes.
This is happening in the Lowveld Region under Nkomazi Local Municipality at the Mine situated at Madadeni named Nkomazi Anthracite Mine.

This is happening every day and night even on weekends as the mine is operating 24 hours 7 days a week even on holidays they push for the profit.

The community people staying next to the road as the road has many potholes which turned the road to be a dust road. The women have to clean regularly in their houses because of the dust created by the trucks.
This led to accidents where by cars collide to each other and wild animals together with livestock being hit by the trucks and cars as a results of the dust from the damage roads.

The speed from the trucks is very high so this led to the community end up holding a strike whereby they demanded the minister of transport to intervene in fixing the problems created by the trucks carrying coal.

The minister of transport must come up with a plan as to enforce the law over the mine Nkomazi Anthracite or the truck owners.

As the community has given the minister a time frame he should be abiding by the agreement signed or the trucks to have their own road not the community roads.
